OFF FRAME contemporary art gallery will held Arkadiusz Branicki's photo exhibition on 29th September at 6 pm and during the event there will be a charity auction of the artist's photos.
Branicki is the one of the most extinguished Polish photographers. A series of „Zodiac" acts brought him a recognition in the media all over the world.
He developed a recognizable, minimalistic style by emphasizing what is the most important in the act: the beauty of the human body.
He is a laureate of several international photographic competitions (including in Tokyo, London and Moscow), the author of the photo album "Tribute" and the exclusive Virako calendar with pictures of ballet dancers.
GraVity project, which will have its premiere at the OFF FRAME Gallery has been being completed for over several months. It shows beautiful, strong, stubborn women - female gymnasts. As he says, "watching their work with the body, cramps, abrasions, bruises, I realized I had no idea about gymnastics until now."
The aim of the auction, which is going to take place on the day of the vernissage, is to support the sport gymnastics club UKS Spartan-Zahutyń in Podkarpacie, whose founder and a head coach is Mirosław Kaźmierczak. The club has been running since 1996 and its athletes have achieved sporting successes. Mirosław works voluntarily and in 2014 he was awarded „Społecznik Roku" by Newsweek. Kaźmierczak, in order to keep the club going and provide funds for running the „Spartan", almost every day has been collecting used washing machines, refrigerators and other secondary raw materials - for 20 years.
The photographer Arkadiusz and Mirosław met personally, and the outcome of this meeting was the idea of auctioning some of Branicki's works at OFF FRAME
